The Parade

Undoubtedly the highlight of the Carnival celebrations the parades sets off from Springfield Road at  the earlier time of 1pm, progressing through the village and finishing at the recreation ground.
 
Please be aware that road closures are in place whilst the parade assembles and passes through the village to ensure the safety of all those taking part and watching the parade.
 
Judging commences on Springfield Road at 12noon with prizes available for the best vehicles, floats and most outstanding in parade.
 
Joining us in the parade are Castleton Silver Band, Loxley Silver Band and The New Orleans Strollers.

The Field

There is something for all the family to enjoy with entry on to the field for just £2 per person (£1 per child). Here is just a taste of the entertainment planned!
 
Look at the range of vintage cars and bikes which local enthusiast bring along to show (register to bring you car along here) or browse at the variety of craft stalls around the field.
 
Take part in the fancy dress competition with lots of prizes on offer or take a look at the Court of Queen’s.
 

In the arena you'll find the Dangerous Steve, Barlow Red Barrows, Mighty Smith and a Birds of Prey display. 

 

Kimmo will be keeping the kids entertained at the Marquee Stage and keep an eye out for other walkabout entertainment
 
Refreshments, homemade cakes, bar and street food will be available throughout the day.
 

Rock the Carnival

Carry on the party with Rock the Carnival on the field from 7.30pm.
