Fancy Dress Competition

Carnival Day is a highlight of the year, and both locals and visitors love getting into the spirit of the celebration by dressing up in their most creative, colourful, and fun costumes. It’s a joyful tradition that brings the whole community together in a vibrant display of imagination and flair.

Whether you're riding high on a float, walking in the parade, or simply joining in for the excitement and spectacle, be sure to make your way to the arena by 2pm to be part of the action. It’s the perfect chance to show off your costume, cheer on others, and soak in the carnival atmosphere.

We’ll be awarding prizes for both the Winner and Runner-Up in the following fancy dress categories:

• Under 6 years
• 6 to 11 years
• 11 to 16 years
• 16 years and over
• Groups (of any age!)

So, dig out your best costume, gather your friends and family, and let your creativity shine. You never know—you might just walk away with a prize and a big smile!
